Send Me On Vacation
Local breast cancer charity, Send Me On Vacation plans to surprise 5 survivors with healing vacations to aid their recovery from battling the effects of cancer. Vacations donated by Diamond Resorts International headquartered in Las Vegas, have proven to have an immediate positive effect on the mind, body, and spirit of recipients who need a time and place to rejuvenate when treatment is completed.
“Unfortunately for breast cancer survivors, it’s not over when treatment ends. After months, sometimes years of treatment, it’s often difficult to mainstream back into ordinary life. The end of physical treatment doesn’t mark the end of the journey; it’s simply the final leg of the trip says co-founder and attorney Leland (Gene) Backus. Providing a trip to a beautiful resort destination to recharge the soul of our recipients battling cancer, changes lives – one vacation at a time.”

Mondays Dark at The Space
Mondays Dark, created and produced by the brilliant Mark Shunock, star of “Rock of Ages,” is a variety show that features headliners from shows on the Las Vegas Strip with 100% of all ticket sales benefitting local charities and will be held at The Space. The Space, is Las Vegas’ newest community-driven charity based art complex. There is always a silent auction with fabulous finds and tons of great drink specials. It is the best $20 you can spend in Sin City and all benefiting great causes.
A strong partnership between the American Cancer Society of Las Vegas and Send Me On Vacation has forged a platform to benefit local survivors. Momenti will be serving a new spirited Champagne Strawberry Sorbet during the show that has been specially created in the spirit of love and joy.

The group’s mission addresses the emotional healing aspects of recovering from breast cancer by sending recipients in need on healing vacations to rejuvenate the mind, body, and spirit.
