Throughout the years, Send Me On Vacation achieved many goals. Fundraising events such as “Pink in the Park,” “Sip for the Trip” and more were a huge success. All of the fundraising efforts allow SMOV to send survivors who have undergone treatment for breast cancer on incredible vacations to heal their mind, body and spirit. That is our overall vision.
With each new year, Send Me On Vacation has a forward thinking vision and sets goals that the charity strives to achieve. As funding increases, SMOV strives to double the number of survivors they send on vacation each year. This goal is achieved three different ways.
- Corporate Sponsorship
All funding raised to send survivors on healing vacations has been done through fundraising events and in-kind donations. SMOV plans to gain corporate funding and develop employee giving programs to increase the number of survivors that are awarded annually.
- Vacation Donation Program
Send Me On Vacation heavily depends upon in-kind donations of frequent flyer miles and timeshare weeks to support their “Vacation Rejuvenation” concept.
Send Me On Vacation partners with timeshare developers and goes directly to the public, asking them to donate their banked timeshare weeks and frequent flyer miles. By donating miles, points and weeks, anyone can be a part of creating a vacation that makes a lasting change in the live of a breast cancer survivor that is struggling to rebuilding her life.”
- Host An Event
Hosting an event, whether large or small, is a great way to engage your community, employees and friends in your shared commitment to provide a healing vacation to a breast cancer survivor from your home town. 100% of the profits generated from third party fundraising events go toward sending survivors from the towns they are held in, on vacation.
